Richard Frank Lynch prefers to be known by his middle name of "Frank" to honor his recently deceased father.

WHO IS FRANK LYNCH

Frank Lynch is a story that the public loves. It is the story of a lifelong Republican who converted to be the most interesting Democratic Candidate for President, leading a grassroots revolution for free healthcare, free daycare, free college, healing the planet, anti-globalization and abolishing the income tax!

Frank Lynch is the most important emerging national leader since Abraham Lincoln came out of nowhere to transform America. Frank has never held elected office, and is the fresh new outsider, which is what everyone says they want. Frank will run a true national campaign, will be on the ballot as a Democrat in all 50 states, and has the ability to be a significant fundraiser.

Frank Lynch, age 65, has the high level, deep and broad experience that is relevant to the decisions that our President must make.

Frank was a national security and military intelligence consultant to the Dept. of Defense, and predicted conflicts many years into the future. Forty years ago he predicted to the Pentagon the mess we would be in with Iraq and Iran today, and has the only reasonable solution to ending the war. Frank was a management consultant to companies in many lines of business. Frank was a senior corporate finance officer on Wall Street with major investment banks, dealing with top corporate officers, CEOs and Boards of Directors, ranging from small companies to the Fortune 500, to plan and manage sophisticated public and private financings, mergers & acquisitions, and LBOs. He was active as a venture capitalist. Frank has business management experience as the sole founder of a restaurant franchise chain which he built into a publicly traded company, and which was merged into a larger company. Frank will restructure schools so schools are open year round, open every day that mothers have to go to work. School hours will be long enough to accommodate the hours that mothers work, with free breakfast, snacks and lunch for all, free uniforms, and free medical, dental and vision care provided inside the schools so mothers do not have to take time off from work.

Because the year round schools with longer hours will double the number of class hours each year, children will finish high school by age 12 or 13. We will use our existing high school buildings as colleges emphasizing medicine, math, science, engineering and other useful subjects, so that every child in America will complete a free college degree by age 17. Imagine that! A required free college degree for every African American and Hispanic child. Free at last with true equality! Frank will create new 20 million new high paying jobs and restructure national security to protect every American family and our children.

Why Frank Lynch Became A Democrat

Educated at top schools, The University of California at Berkeley, Purdue University, and Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Business, Frank Lynch was identified as a genius at an early age. He was a researcher in National Science Foundation Research projects while still a teenager, studying the effects of early experience upon adult adrenal corticosteroid response to stress. He was a management consultant in marketing and finance, as well as an advisor on national security, intelligence collection, and advanced weapons systems. Frank Lynch displayed the highest level of financial expertise as a senior investment banker and corporate finance officer with leading firms on Wall Street, working daily with Fortune 500 CEOs on public offerings, mergers and acquisitions and leveraged buyouts (LBOs). He also is an entrepreneur with top corporate level management experience. He was the sole founder, Chairman and President of a franchise chain which he built up into a publicly traded company, and later sold in a merger. He is now creating Frank Lynch University™ to be the world's leading institution of math, medicine, science, engineering and teacher preparation.

Highest Education, but Man of the People

Frank Lynch, a second generation immigrant with grandparents and great-grandparents from four different countries, grew up in a blue collar, factory neighborhood on the South side of Chicago. He was the first in his extended family of factory workers to attend college, let alone achieve post-graduate degrees. He was educated at excellent schools: Purdue University, Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Business, and the University of California at Berkeley, but prides himself at being a down-to-earth man of the people. Despite his achievements, he washes his nine year old Ford Taurus Wagon (for his parent's wheelchair), changes his own oil, and mows his own lawn.

A National Merit Finalist, his SAT, GRE and LSAT scores combine to indicate that he is among the most intelligent people in America. At age 19 he was one of the first undergraduates to ever participate in a National Science Research project. Although his first love was the theory of science, business paid better, and the poor man's son followed the money.

Consulting and National Security Qualifications

Frank Lynch was one of the first management consultants ever hired by the leading international consulting firm Booz Allen without a graduate degree or prior work experience. Since his undergraduate degree was supplemented with graduate level courses on experimental psychology, human engineering, and the theory of experimental design, it was a short step to consulting on the design and selection of weapon systems, and methods of military intelligence collection and analysis. This work in turn led to consulting on national security issues. In 1968, he co-authored a study for the Department of Defense forecasting Middle Eastern conflicts 20 years into the future. From forty years ago, that study correctly foresaw today's problems. Too bad they didn't read that study before either of the invasions of Iraq.

Frustrated by security politics, he returned to graduate school and achieved an MBA with concentrations in both Finance and Marketing, completing the degree in five quarters instead of the usual six.

Senior Investment Banking & Corporate Finance Officer

Frank Lynch toiled on Wall Street (actually 42 Wall Street, with a window view of the NYSE) as an investment banker with Merrill Lynch, then at Loeb Rhoades, and finally Wertheim Schroder. As a senior corporate finance officer, his days were spent traveling the country dealing with Fortune 500 Chairman, Presidents, Chief Financial Officers, and Boards of Directors, evaluating their business plans and future corporate prospects, as well as the competitive and market risks thereof. He analyzed, negotiated with, and financed many companies in a comprehensively wide range of industries.

Comprehensive and Highest Level Financial Expertise

Frank received an in-depth knowledge of business and industry from his work with a comprehensive range of businesses.

Examples of his client corporations and the industries in which he became expert are: drug companies, hospitals, semiconductors, R&D companies, other electronics and modem companies (including "special" modems necessary for secret agents operating behind the Iron Curtain), domestic and international mining, oil and gas exploration and production, fertilizer, music companies, radio and TV broadcasting and cable TV, motion pictures, cartoons, banks, insurance, commercial real estate development, home builders, REITs, land development, retail installment land sales, toys and games, electric and gas utilities, general manufacturing, industrial fasteners, retail soft goods chains, restaurant franchise chains, international and domestic wine and spirits distilling and distribution, and amusement parks.

For companies in those industries, Frank Lynch designed, negotiated, structured, underwrote, managed and marketed/sold mergers, hostile takeovers, refinancings, LBOs, IPOs, and follow-on public offerings and private placements of common and preferred stock, convertible securities, and senior, straight, subordinated, and unrated or "junk" debt, including linked warrants and options. Frank Lynch became expert at highly sophisticated tax-advantaged takeovers involving tax loss carryforwards (NOLs), and developed a reputation as an expert in sophisticated financings.

Management Experience as an Entrepreneur and President of a Public Traded Company.

Frank Lynch is also an entrepreneur. He was the sole founder of, and Chairman, President and Director of a regional restaurant franchise chain with hundreds of employees. He built it up into a publicly traded company, which was later sold in a 'backwards' merger used to take a private company public.

Dedicating the Rest of His Life to Public Service, Charities and Education

Frank Lynch has no interest in pursuing wealth, having proved that money can be an irrelevant, and even destructive goal. When he learned that more than half of all the boys and girls in the foster care system land in jail by the time they reach age 21, he founded "FranksKids™" to operate Children's Villages to provide our most helpless children with better lives.

But before Frankskids™ became functional, by pure chance, or by the grace of God, Frank Lynch saw the Communist Chinese Minister of Education on TV boasting that the Communist Chinese dictatorship graduated more BS degrees in mathematics, the "hard" sciences and engineering than the US produced total bachelors degrees in all subjects combined, including 'blue jeans' (U. of Texas) and water skiing (where Obama grew up)!

Frank Lynch recalled that in the Cultural Revolution of 1966-68, the Red Guard shut down all Chinese universities and forced the professors and students, who survived the killing spree, into the countryside to work as slaves in the rice paddys. So, until after the Vietnam War, there were no colleges at all in China. None. Calculating from zero graduates in 1970, and approximating a straight line growth to the present, Frank Lynch calculated that by 2007, Communist China must have total mathematicians, scientists and engineers equal to 200% to 250% of the US total. And that they are now adding every 18 months, new mathematicians, scientists and engineers equal to all of our total accumulated population of mathematicians, scientists and engineers.

Losing the Skills Required to Maintain Our Civilization

Alarmed, Frank Lynch began research that revealed the catastrophic extent of the decay and destruction of our education system at every level, and especially the continuing decline in the number of people in America with the skills necessary to maintain our civilization. The number of US Citizens studying math, hard science and engineering has been declining of almost twenty years.

Frank Lynch has expertise in the role of democracy, education and science in the rise and fall of civilizations. The first part of this expertise was acquired more than forty years ago when Frank Lynch was forecasting future armed conflicts for the Department of Defense. Applying his expertise to the figures which he unearthed, and which are reported throughout this website, the conclusion is that major changes are required in America very soon. Or our future will not be a future which any of us would choose, if our politicians were smart enough to give us the choice. But they aren't.

What is important is not the amount of education (because more garbage is just a taller pile of garbage) but what is taught. And each year our current school system teaches less and less of the content and skills required to sustain our civilization.

So FranksKids™ got put on a temporary hold because (and choices like this are very, very hard to make), it is more important to save all of America's children than to save just some of them. The purpose of the books and the University, and Frank's struggle, is to save all of America's children.
