ENERGY INDEPENDENCE
We can no longer ship
millions of dollars every year to nations who hate America, and who use
our hard earned money to plan violence and destruction against us.
Oil should be reserved for use in aviation, the military, and as a
raw material in manufacturing. Even in manufacturing, we must shift
our products away from oil to more environmentally friendly products
and lifestyles.
Our population growth
must live in new types of cities which ban cars, and which have been
designed to be as green as possible in every aspect.
See Green Cities.
There are too many
people in the world for everyone to live at a high energy
consumption standard of living. It is ironic that Bill Gates
and Bill Clinton, among many others, are using their charities to
distribute medicines to extend the lifespan and the populations of
underdeveloped countries. Now don't jump on me. Charity and kindness
are at the heart of my life mission. But I must ask the question:
where is the emphasis on birth control? Nobody can convince me that
those poor starving, young women in Africa, Asia and South America
want to have ten or fifteen children?
Where are the big charities'
true mercy toward these victimized women? True mercy and kindness is
not merely antibiotics, true mercy is to help these women with birth
control.
Birth control is a
kindness that is the required foundation of any effort to improve
the life conditions in the developing world.
Bill Gates, Warren
Buffet, George Soros, Bill
Clinton, and Oprah Winfrey, get to work on birth control for the countries
that you want to
help! Do it now, and do it massively.
We must work to get all
the world to contain their population growth, and to move
people into new green cities.
Most of our railroads must be
converted to electricity.
I feel much healthier
and consume less energy since I discarded my nylon carpeting which
was made from oil. The carpeting harbored dirt, mold and bacteria no
matter how much we cleaned it, and the vacuuming and other cleaning
consumed a lot of electricity each year. Not to mention harsh
chemicals, which also were made from oil. We went back to old
fashioned concrete Terrazzo. All the maintenance it needs is once a
week mopping with an 18 inch micro fiber damp mop, which also
happens to be a way lot less work than vacuuming.
First, we must prohibit
building any new generating plants using coal, gas and oil, and
create a timetable to phase out the existing ones. We must get all
our new electricity from wind farms, nuclear, and as yet not
invented sources that do not pollute what is left of our climate.
Did you know that nuclear is fantastically safe? In the entire world
there has only been one fatal accident ever?
Second, we must
eliminate CAFE standards because they are based on averages, which
are loopholes to allow the sale of horrible gas guzzlers. Frank's new
"green standard" will apply to every vehicle sold or imported. The new
green standard is from Japan: 45 miles per gallon, for not only
cars, but also minivans, SUVs and light trucks under 4,000 pounds.
Beginning January 1, 2009, one fifth or 20% of all these vehicles
sold or imported by each company in 2009 must meet this standard.
Each year another 20% of these vehicles must meet 45 mpg. By January
1, 2013 it will be illegal to sell or import any vehicle under 4,000
lbs. if it
gets less than 45 mpg.
Ethanol has many
benefits, but it is not the answer. In addition to corn ethanol
requiring too much energy to grow and manufacture, there is not
enough farmland in the world to both feed the world and supply
enough ethanol for cars. Already, the small current demand for corn
for ethanol has raised the cost of food in Mexico so much that our
ethanol refineries have caused increased immigration from Mexico to
the US. Sugar cane ethanol is much more efficient, but we must be
careful not to destroy the wetlands of the world to grow sugar cane,
as has happened with the destruction of my almost extinct Florida Everglades.
Orangutans will probably
become extinct in a year or two because the forests in which they
live are being chopped down to grow palm oil for European biodiesel.
We simply must stop destroying nature.
We must move to plug-in electric cars
with the electricity coming from wind, nuclear, and as yet
undeveloped sources.
And our 20 new cities
must be car-free.
