Children's health is a
core issue for Frank Lynch.
Pregnant Women
Frank Lynch starts helping children's
health with totally free healthcare for any and every woman who
thinks she might be pregnant. All pregnant women will receive free
healthcare, including preventive care, vitamins, and counseling.
Frank will establish
dedicated 1-800 toll free phone numbers, as well as websites, for
every woman to call to set up an immediate appointment with a doctor
for a free complete health exam and pregnancy test, including free
tests for all STDs (Sexually Transmitted Diseases), vitamin
deficiencies, and drug use.
Pregnant women who test positive
for drugs will not be turned over to the police. Frank's first and
only concerns for a pregnant woman are her health and the health of
her baby.
Any pregnant woman with
drug or alcohol problems will
have her choice of totally free rehabilitation programs, with
highest priority for admission.
Any abused pregnant
woman, abused woman, or abused mother with children will receive
immediate shelter from her abuser, with no waiting period.
Children
Frank Lynch believes that it harms and diminishes every person in
America if a single child does not receive complete medical,
dental, optical, hearing, and every other type of care required to
permit and enhance his or her greatest level of development.
Period. End of discussion.
In Frank's America, all children will receive free
total healthcare inside their schools, free
drugs and vitamins, and free preventive care. Parents will be
notified well in advance, and requested to be at the school at the
time of medical involvement to participate with the doctors. Parents
have the ultimate say and control over medical treatment of their
children. Frank wants a law requiring employers to give paid time
off for parents to be at their child's school for all medical
events.
All children will
receive free complete dental, hearing and optical care, and whatever
other care that they need. Children without complete treatment in
all these medical areas cannot develop and learn to their full
potential as human beings, or as citizens of what should be the
greatest country on earth. In Frank's America, all children will get
all of this free, and we will be the greatest country
on earth.
Frank's FOCES™ school system
will teach children to eat healthy. This starts by having only
healthy food choices available inside every school in America. All
the vending machines, the deep fryers, pizzas, etc., will be removed
from schools. Children will not be able to leave the school to eat
outside.
Frank's Healthy for Life
Program starts with free nutritious breakfast for every child, with
no fried food and no transfats. A hungry child, or a child suffering
from malnutrition, or a child hyper from too much sugar, cannot learn. Every child gets free sugar-free,
fat-free snacks, plus free lunch. The "qualified" free lunch program
as it exists today makes the recipients of the free lunches appear
inferior in the eyes of the richer kids, and that is unacceptable.
There are no vending machines or deep fryers. If children become
accustomed to eating healthily from an early age all through their
teens, perhaps we will reduce the current epidemic of childhood
obesity. And children will learn better with optimized nutrition.
